911 episode 9 preview: Athena jumps into the dating world
Before we do anything else, CarterMatt wants to kick things off here by sharing the official 911 episode 9 synopsis below courtesy of Fox:
The first responders race to help a homeless man crushed in a garbage truck, a mother and son in a crashed elevator and extreme hoarders entombed in their house. Meanwhile, Athena jumps into to the dating pool, as Buck and Abby’s relationship is tested by her ailing mother in the all-new “Trapped” episode of 9-1-1 airing Wednesday, March 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (NIN-109) (TV-14 D, L, V)
This episode should be fun, especially when it comes to seeing Athena entering the dating world — unfortunately, we’re not altogether sure that she will have that much success mostly because the dating world is so tough and tricky to figure out. There are a lot of jerks out there and also a lot of people looking to take advantage of others in any way that they possible can.
As for some of the rescues within this episode, there is not all that much that can be said here other than that they sound as though they could be exciting. One of the largest challenges that you could be seeing over this episode is just how 911 tries to keep things fresh when it comes to some of the rescues time and time again. The longer that the series lasts, and the more difficult that this is going to be. The series does have a second season, but it remains to be seen just when that season is going to premiere.
As for Buck and Abby, let’s just hope that the two can find a way to make it through some of their problems. These two characters went through such a journey to get them together that it’s hard to really think about splitting them apart at this point.
