Chicago PD 100th episode sneak peek: Why is there an evacuation?

Chicago Pd season 5 teaser

The Chicago PD 100th episode is airing on NBC Wednesday night and at the center of this is one simple question: What’s going on to cause an evacuation? Why is there a bomb threat?

In the sneak preview below, you can see what looks to be a jumping-off point for much of the remainder of the episode. Platt receives a suspicious package, and when she reads the note she realizes that the entire office is threatened and orders an immediate evacuation. Someone is proclaiming that the department is serving as a purveyor of fake news and with that, they need to be targeted. There is no way of telling whether or not the contents of this package are dangerous at all, but in many cases it does remain better to be safe than sorry.

As this episode progresses forward, you will see the story shift and change in some interesting ways. For example, Intelligence is going to get Firehouse 51 involved to help with this case in some unexpected ways, and then in the second, Chicago Fire part of the crossover the firehouse will get a direct visit from Antonio looking for additional help. As we explain in the new video below (be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more), this is the most immersive crossover in the history of the One Chicago franchise and it is really not even close. These two casts are going to blend together fairly seamlessly in order to tell the larger story.

To go along with that, this episode also will do what it can in order to serve as a proper celebration for 100 episodes of Chicago PD. To date, this has been a brilliant series, one full of a wide array of different/exciting twists, and we’re very much interested to learn what could be coming up next.
