The Resident episode 7 preview: Conrad vs. Lane

The Resident episode 4

The battles between Conrad and Lane have been going on for a little while now on The Resident, in part because Conrad is a hothead but also in part because Lane has this nasty habit of not being altogether forthcoming when it comes to her patients and some of her treatment plans for them. Moving into The Resident episode 7 on Fox, all signs are now pointing to issues between the two of them starting to come to a boil.

Below, The Resident episode 7 synopsis offers up some additional information right now as to what is coming up:

Conrad goes head-to-head with Lane when he disagrees with her over a treatment plan for a terminal cancer patient. Tensions rise when Jude inserts himself in the middle by offering to perform the invasive procedure Conrad is fighting against. When a VIP patient crosses the line with Nic, she must devise a strategy on how to stand her ground and combat the situation. Meanwhile, Bell realizes he’ll need Mina’s hands more than ever in the all-new “The Elopement” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, March 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Depending on what is actually going on within this episode, this storyline with Nic could end up proving to be the timeliest of the entire season. If she is getting sexually harassed in some way (which it sounds as though she could be), there is a chance that she is going to be placed within a horrible position. If she speaks up, there is a chance that someone like Dr. Bell could not believe her. However, she should not have to suffer in silence. This is where we hope that some of the people around her step up to the plat, lend their support, and help to make it clear that no patient, no matter their level of fame or however much money they may have given to the hospital, should be able to inflict this sort of pain on someone else.

We will have more news on this story as it starts to become available.
