Crashing season 3 premiere date hopes: When will Pete Holmes series return?
Let’s kick things off with this: There will officially be a Crashing season 3. The comedy series, which stars the incredible Pete Holmes and focuses on the world of stand-up comedy in a way few other series have (as in, it’s actually realistic), was ordered for another batch of episodes by the network two weeks ago. The specific episode count was not made clear but if we were to guess, we’d say that it will be eight episodes again.
As for when it should premiere, this January – March spot in the schedule makes some sense. It’s a real testament to the series’ strength that it can survive here. This is not an easy spot to air given that you are up against everything from NFL football to also the Oscars tonight, but Crashing is finding a way to make it work. would it be nice to see the series have a stronger lead-in? Absolutely, but sometimes you just have to take what you are given. In this case, Crashing has an opportunity to tell some more stories and that matters more than anything else. There are so many people out there who don’t watch it live, anyway — the timeslot does not necessarily matter to many of them.
For those of you who are still curious as to live+same-day ratings performances, know this: Crashing drew just over 350,000 viewers a week, which is a drop of just under 14% from season 1. We consider any show that retains at least 85% of its audience year-to-year a relative winner, so we would go ahead and throw Crashing into that category.
