Ever heard the expression “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”? That is going to be a central component for NCIS season 15 episode 17 coming up later this month. This is an installment that is going to begin with a clue coming out of nowhere, and it could end up sending Gibbs and Ducky down a road where they can revisit a prominent case from the past.
That’s right — Ducky will have a role within this episode! It’s a little too early to say whether or not this role will be bring him back in a larger capacity than we’ve seen him this season, but you’ll at least get to have him involved. The NCIS season 15 episode 17 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers more, including a reminder that Mike Wolfe of American Pickers is one of the prominent guest stars of this episode:
“One Man’s Trash” – Gibbs and Ducky see an antique war stick on television that could be the missing murder weapon to a 16-year-old cold case, on NCIS, Tuesday, March 13 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Mike Wolfe of “American Pickers” guest stars as himself.
It continues to make perfect sense as to why Wolfe is guest-starring on this show. Viewers of NCIS have a love for Americana, and we have a pretty good feeling that the target demographic for American Pickers probably isn’t altogether different from what the target demographic is for NCIS. The two shows have a nice bit of common ground and this episode is a way both to honor history while moving forward an NCIS case. What’s not to like about this?
This story seems to be the last NCIS episode that is airing within a run of three new episodes. After that, there will be a hiatus of at least a week. There may be breaks in the action here and there coming up given that the NCAA Tournament does tend to take up a lot of CBS real estate.
