Once Upon a Time series finale could have returning favorites

The Once Upon a Time series finale is airing on ABC a little bit later this year, and there are a few different things that you need to consider with it. For starters, there could be an opportunity to see new faces!

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, it does appear as though several major players from the past have been extended an invitation to return at some point in the future — obviously the ideal would be that everyone would want to take the producers up on said invitation, but the reality is that sometimes, that just isn’t feasible. Schedules don’t always line up. We just hope in this instance that they do.

In setting up the series finale, here is what show executive producer Edward Kitsis had to say to Entertainment Weekly:

“It’s one last adventure … It’s maybe seeing some old friends. It’s saying goodbye to the show and being reminded of all the things we love — if it was the twist on fairy tales, if it was the romance, if it was the swashbuckling, or if it was the magic. The last two hours for us is less about tying it up in a bow and just getting to hear the song sung one more time.”

We think that “celebration” is the perfect word to describe what the end of the show is going to be. We don’t foresee the producers wanting to do anything too controversial with this episode. Rather, they are probably just going to find a way to satisfy everyone watching for so many years. That makes perfect sense; everyone out there certainly deserves a chance to watch a satisfying ending after such a long journey.
