Timeless season 2 spoilers: The Ronald Reagan connection

Timeless season 2 key art

To date, we’ve learned a number of interesting things about Timeless season 2 — in case you missed some of our articles over the past few pieces, here’s a quick rundown.

Premiere – This episode will send the team traveling back to World War I. There are many reasons why this is significant, and this episode will allow you to learn quite a bit about Rittenhouse.

Episode 2 – We’re not going to give anything else away here other than the era — the early days of NASCAR in the 1950’s. This episode in particular could introduce you to one of the first black drivers who achieved great success.

Episode 3 – We’re going here to Hollywood back when Hedy Lamarr was a fixture and when things were certainly different from today. (Read a little bit more about this story over here.)

So what’s coming beyond these episodes? According to TVLine, another episode of Timeless season 2 will be moving the Time Team over to March 30, 1981 — a date otherwise known as when President Reagan was shot. This is a very pivotal moment in US history and it is one that is absolutely worth visiting. This is also one of those moments where Rittenhouse could easily try to change history — if Reagan dies on that date, then almost the entirety of the 1980’s shakes out to be very different from what it ended up being. As of right now, the ultimate endgame of this organization is still not entirely clear, though it does seem like their goals are to change and mold history to better suit their own doing. Garcia Flynn was out to stop them in part during the first season, but some of his methods were more than a little bit controversial.

Timeless season 2 premieres on NBC come March 11 — the video below (be sure to subscribe to our YouTube for more) does its best to explain how to make a season 3 happen!
