Chicago PD season 5 spoilers: Bosch star Titus Welliver to appear

Titus Welliver

Chicago PD season 5 just got another touch of something awesome in the form of Titus Welliver.

According to NBC, the Bosch star and longtime character actor (we’re so thrilled the he has his own show now) is poised to appear in at least one upcoming episode as “a big-time meth dealer who was recently released from prison … He can slide form chilling charm to fervent rage in an instant. He may be handsome, intense, intelligent, cunning and mercurial, but don’t let that fool you — he’s capable of anything.”

To be frank, this sounds like the sort of character who could frustrate Intelligence to no end. It’s one thing to take down the average criminal or drug dealer; it’s another thing altogether to have this character be someone who can outsmart some of our heroes and cause problems for a while. Even if he doesn’t stick around all that long we’re still going to contend that one of the things that Intelligence needs more so than anything else is a quality villain, someone who can really make the unit shake in their boots a little bit.

Beyond just Bosch, some of Welliver’s other notable credits include Lost, Sons of Anarchy, The Good Wife, Suits, White Collar, The Mentalist, The Last Ship, and Agents of SHIELD. As we’ve tried to make clear, Titus does some really awesome stuff across a lot of shows we love.

A couple other odds and ends

For starters, there is going to be a Chicago PD – Chicago Fire crossover interview coming in the near future! Look for it in the days leading up to the event happening on March 7 and 8. If you love these two shows this should be a really fun opportunity for you to see a fast-paced, super-intense story play out.

In speaking more from a Chicago Fire standpoint, be sure to also check out the new video below as we do our part in order to detail more of what you can expect to see on the second half of the season — in addition to that, we’ll also give you a better sense of what we want to see. Both of these One Chicago series, alongside Chicago Med, are all going to return with new episodes starting next week.
