Nashville season 6 episode 9 return date hopes for CMT drama
Let’s kick off this particular article with a reminder that the final eight episodes of the CMT drama will air at some point later this year. It’s a little bit early to have much in the way of a precise date, but all signs point towards it coming back in the summer. That is what the network did last year and that is also what makes the most sense — you want to wrap the series up when there isn’t s much competition elsewhere on the air. We also think that you don’t want to keep anyone waiting too long to see just how the series is going to wrap up.
Personally, we’re hoping for a June date — air Nashville on the other side of Memorial Day Weekend but still end the series before we get around to August.

As for what we’d like to see on Nashville season 6 episode 9, at the top of the list is getting some of the characters on the road where they can have happiness and stability. Nobody’s ever going to have a perfect future, but after they’ve been through it would be really nice to see people like Juliette and Maddie have a path towards a happy future after so much struggle. It feels like they’re deserving of it.
Of course, we do know that Nashville is as a whole a series that is all about the music industry and that is ever-changing. This is not going to be a situation in which the series ends and then everyone has a chance to run off into the sunset. They’ll have struggles in the future; we just won’t see them. The best that we can hope for is that everyone starts to develop more confidence and comfort in their own skin. They can’t force anyone else to change, but they can continue trying to be the best overall versions of themselves.
Is there a chance of a season 7 renewal?
Don’t count on it. Nashville season 6 was already announced as the final season and with ratings falling, there is no obvious reason to bring the show back.
Update: Nashville will return on Thursday, June 7 on CMT.
