New Doctor Who season 11 logo switches out the color scheme

Doctor Who season 11 logo

Who wants to check out the new Doctor Who season 11 logo? We’re rather thrilled to have that for you within this article! This marks the first time that the logo has been released publicly after weeks of rumors on the subject, and we’d say for the most part that this lives up to the hype.

When you just see the logo at a stand-still, we’d say that it doesn’t bear too much resemblance to the franchise — it’s not super-nostalgic, and at the same time it’s not explicitly connected to any of the show’s symbolism. However, that changes slightly when you watch the video below and see the Tardis speed through, effectively causing some of the horizontal lines that you see in the video below. It’s colorful, playful, and different — this is a clear and super-intentional move to send the show down into a new direction and usher in a very different generation for the series.

If there was ever a time in which to have a new Doctor Who logo now definitely seems to be it for a number of different reasons. For starters, this is the first time in years in which we’ve had a new Doctor in Jodie Whittaker — beyond just that, we’ve also got a new showrunner behind the scenes in Chris Chibnall. Having a new logo helps to cement the new direction, whatever it may be. Signs point to it being different and super-imaginative, but also still with the original soul and intention of the series in mind.
