Andi Mack renewed for season 3 by Disney Channel

Andi Mack renewed

It looks as though there is no more reason to speculate — an Andi Mack season 3 is officially coming to Disney Channel! The network made this announcement on Monday, and it means that there are going to be some more interesting, topical stories to come.

So far through two seasons, Andi Mack has already shown itself to be one more progressive and thought-provoking series on the Disney Channel, producing a wide array of interesting story twists beginning with the premise: A young woman discovering that her sister is actually her mother.

In a statement, Gary Marsh, the president and chief creative officer of Disney Channels Worldwide, had the following to say:

“A series about a girl discovering that her sister is really her mother was new territory for Disney Channel, but [Terri Minsky’s] honest, authentic storytelling allowed our audience to connect deeply to these characters and their journeys of self-discovery … What she has crafted stands as a high-water benchmark for kids and family storytelling around the world.”

If you did love the first two seasons of Andi Mack, there is a good chance that you will enjoy season 3. What this series seems to do such an excellent job at is finding a way to take on issues that are topical and interesting for all audiences, while still putting them within a package that is safe for viewers of all ages. It’s not something that many other series on the Disney Channel or elsewhere have really figured out yet.

How long will Andi Mack last following season 3?

It may be a little too early to say for certain, given that the Disney Channel doesn’t have the best track record in the world of keeping series on the air for the longest time. Our advice to you for now is rather simple: If you love Andi Mack, just keep enjoying it for however long you possibly can.
