Outlander season 4 notes: How Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan spent weekend
Let’s start off here with Caitriona Balfe, who was in attendance on Sunday at the BAFTA Film Awards in London. This was a follow up to her recently being in Ireland for the IFTA Awards alongside an appearance on The Late Late Show. Like many other actors in attendance Balfe wore black in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement supporting women who have faced sexual harassment and/or abuse.
Out of respect for photographers at the event we are not embedding photos of Caitriona within this article, but if you search for them on either Twitter or Google they should be pretty easy to find. After being at the Golden Globes earlier this year (also in black) as a nominee, Caitriona was able to attend the BAFTA event on Sunday as an attendee to enjoy the festivities in a different way.
Following this stint in Ireland and England, we imagine that Caitriona will be making her way back up to Scotland soon in order to continue work on Outlander season 4. Filming is continuing to take place for the season from now until the spring.
Sam Heughan’s wintry excursion
To say that Sam was in a very different environment over the weekend would be an understatement, as the actor braved the snowy landscape for an 18-mile run. It takes a lot of physical work both to play Jamie Fraser and to lead the My Peak Challenge initiative! Consider the photo below via Sam’s Instagram another reminder that we are in the midst of an especially chilly winter and it doesn’t seem as though we’re at a point of relief just yet.
If anything, seeing the work Sam put in this weekend should inspire everyone out there to at least get in a little bit of exercise.
