Supergirl season 3 debate: Who is the third Worldkiller?

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

As we await the return of Supergirl season 3 from its lengthy hiatus at present, there are many questions that are still worth asking — with one of the biggest ones revolving around the identity of the third Worldkiller.

Who is it? What we know at present is rather simple, starting with the fact that this character has obviously been around for some time as a part of some sort of plan. There has also not been any official casting announced for this character, meaning either that A) we are not set to meet this character for a little while still or B) this is someone meant to catch us by surprise. Depending on how it plays out when the show returns in April, we imagine that there are going to be some surprising reveals when it comes to this character, who could in turn help Reign exploit the next phase of her plan.

Ruby – What if it was planned years ago for Sam to fall in love and eventually have a child? It would be incredibly demented in some ways for the series to have a child supervillain, but it’s probably far from the strangest thing the show has ever done. It’s still more normal than the entire storyline that we ended up seeing involving the Music Meister.

Imra – She did tell Mon-El that there was another reason why the Legion was in the past than what he knew about; could it be that she is actually some sort of secret Worldkiller from this time, as well? Given that she already knows and understands many of her powers, it could prove be pretty dangerous if she takes a turn for the dark side.

Lena Luthor – Given that we know who her birth father is this feels unlikely, especially since part of the fun of the series has always been having Lena tow the line between what’s good and what’s evil. Nonetheless, why would you ever want to rule something out as a definite possibility when it could cause so much chaos within the story?

Kara herself – This is one of the biggest theories that is out there thanks to everything from her Kryptonian heritage to some of the dreams that she’s been having for much of the season. It does still remain strange that the series recast Alura just to feature her in some dream sequences; we therefore think that there has to be some sort of larger plan that’s going to be revealed in the near future.

Someone new – This is probably the most-likely solution to the whole situation; we just haven’t made it far enough in the season yet to know about them.
