Could The Flash season 4 be introducing villain Null?

Null

Is The Flash season 4 bringing in another familiar DC Comics villain in Null? There are a few different signs out there suggesting now that this could be the case.

What we know is as follows — according to a report coming in now via SpoilerTV, the upcoming 17th episode of season 4 is going to be titled “Null and Annoyed.” That is obviously a play off of the common expression null and void, but it probably means something more than that. While not all episode titles with this show are entirely on-the-nose, the vast majority of them are at least references to something else.

This one seems to be a clear tie to Null, a comic-book villain who contains a wide array of different but significant powers, including the ability to control and manipulate gravity in some shape or form close to him. It’s absolutely a powerful ability since, if used properly, he could incapacitate almost anyone who comes close. If he could anticipate The Flash coming his way in a short period of time, it’s also fairly easy to figure out just how he could stop him, as well.

As for how Null could be factored into the story, provided that we are reading into this title correctly, there are a few different ways in which to make that happen. For starters, we could envision the series making him into one of the last remaining bus meta-humans who were introduced at the start of the season. With that, he could be a larger part in Clifford DeVoe’s plan — this is a character who, at present, may be the most powerful opponent Barry has faced off against. While he may not be a speedster, he possesses an array of different powers from several of the other meta-humans he’s absorbed to go along with superior intellect. It’s hard to imagine a single scenario in which he does not get his way, especially with luck now very much on his side.
