Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12 spoilers: Kim Raver’s debut

Designated Survivor season 2 episode 2

There are a couple of different things to be excited about Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12, but seeing Kim Raver’s debut is near the top of the list! This episode brings you the start of what is going to be recurring role for Dr. Andrea Frost, a woman who possesses a lot of ability in the tech field. There are a ton of characters out there across all of the TV who wear the “hacker” hat, so when it comes to Amanda Frost our hope is really simple: That there is some way in which she can properly stand out in the field of them. That means thinking of interesting solutions and not just showing her in front of keyboards the whole hour.

We should note that there is more to Frost than just her being a computer engineer who excels within the world of aerospace — she’s also a prominent entrepreneur! Our feeling at present is to think of her almost as the Designated Survivor version of Elon Musk.

The Designated Survivor season 2 episode 12 synopsis below does a good job of offering up some more insight in terms of what’s coming on the show next:

“The Final Frontier” – When a missile intended to bring water to stranded astronauts in space is hacked, President Kirkman must work with Russia and enlists the help of Dr. Andrea Frost (Kim Raver) to help save lives and find out who is behind the hack. Meanwhile, Hannah finds herself working with Damian again, on ABC’s “Designated Survivor,” airing WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7 (10:00–11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

Will President Kirkman be completely past his grief over Alex’s death in this episode? It’s unlikely. After all, this episode is the second one following the hiatus and the first one is entitled “Grief.” That’s a pretty darn good indicator of some of what the focus is going to be there.
