Celebrity Big Brother live feed spoilers: Where is Shannon’s fight? (day 16, morning)

Shannon Elizabeth

There are a number of things that surprise us about Celebrity Big Brother this week, whether it be Ariadna Gutierrez being Head of Household or Metta World Peace suddenly going from wanting to quit the game to being someone worth rooting for.

Yet, the fall from grace for Shannon Elizabeth has to be fairly high on the list. At one point earlier on in the game, CarterMatt considered her to be one of the best players; strategically, she had the chops to pull it off. She just got too excited to play and with that, went far too hard far too quickly. She was also potentially hurt by the fact she was playing against a ton of people who really weren’t in all that great of a hurry to play themselves. They all were taking their time to learn the ropes.

The easiest way we can sum up Shannon as a game-player based on what we’ve seen this season is simply this: She would’ve been a great participant in an all-star season or even a normal Big Brother season where there are more capable players. In this group she stood out like a sore thumb and it’s hardly a surprise that many people would want her out. She continues to isolate herself and feels somewhat sad over her exit, much in the way many people do in her position. We want to see her fight more for her place — as cocky as James Maslow may be we’ll give him some credit for really working and never giving up when he was on the block against Chuck Liddell. He eventually found enough of a window to stay alive and now has a real shot of making it further into the season.

The only argument that we presume Shannon could really even make at this point would be to try and target Omarosa; or, if Mark McGrath ends up being the replacement nominee (this seems to be the plan) trying to get the women’s alliance back together. They entered the season with a numbers advantage but if Shannon leaves, that changes and the guys suddenly have a leg up again.
