Nashville season 6 episode 7 video: ‘Bro night’ turns to Juliette talk

Kaitlin Doubleday

On Nashville season 6 episode 7, you’re going to get yet another reminder that even when she is not around, Juliette somehow still remains the focal point of the series.

In the new sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below from Thursday night’s new episode of the CMT series, you can see Gunnar and Avery have a discussion about some of the women in their lives — namely, Alannah and Juliette. Regardless of whether or not these characters are together, they still hold a significant place in their lives — and they also worry about them extensively. You see some of this worry play out in the video.

We’d say that, overall, the concern for Juliette in particular is extreme just because of where she is and who she’s been spending time with. Going into season 6, we have to say that Juliette becoming involved in some sort of Scientology-like cult was not something very high on the list of things that we expected to see. Yet, it totally works when it comes to being an interesting story point for a number of different reasons. This show can illuminate one of the harder struggles when it comes to people in this situation, and that is coming to grips with the fact that their loved ones are effectively gone and there is way to help them. There’s also no clear way to know if they are okay and are being properly cared for. That’s scary and not an easy thing for many characters to handle.

This episode is one that needs to make significant headway on both the Juliette story and others, given that there is only one more episode airing beyond this before the midseason hiatus. While we’re sure that the writers would like to leave things off on some sort of cliffhanger, there’s also a difference between a cliffhanger and no resolution at all.
