Chicago Med season 3: Will we see Maggie Lockwood’s backstory?

Chicago Med season 3

For CarterMatt’s final Chicago Med character spotlight series we are going to be taking a look at nurse Maggie Lockwood. Maggie is the brains of the ER and without her the place would not run smoothly. She knows what ‘s going on in the hospital as well as in the lives of the other nurses and doctors. We also learned this season that a man from Maggie’s past who cheated on her has returned claiming he is a new man who wants another chance with her. So for the rest of season 3 here’s what we’d like to see.

Maggie challenging her man – Maggie has little by little given her man small chances to see how he has changed. She went for a drink with him and his friends and then slowly began having a conversation with him as he brought patients to the hospital. It’s great to see him pursuing her and making him work for it. It’s fun to watch and is different from most relationships on television. With Maggie we have no idea what it is or what direction the writers will decide to take it, but we’d like to see the series continue this cat and mouse relationship because it does lighten the mood of the many serious episodes.

Maggie getting the spotlight – Maggie is such an important character that does way more than she gets credits for. So if possible for this season we’d like to see Maggie get an episode where it focuses on her or puts her front and center. Whether the show accomplishes this by bring in a patient that’s connected to her or have patient that she connects with on a personal level.

In addition, it would allow us to take a look at Maggie’s backstory. When we watch this show, we feel like there is so much more to the character and we want to know more. This would also give fans the opportunity to take a closer look at Maggie as well as her relationship. We know he cheated on her, but what was going on during that time? Why is he is coming back to her? Sometimes men just cheat, but based on their conversation there’s something else there and we are intrigued. We love this dynamic character and just feel like the show could tell so many interesting stories involving her.
