Outlander season 3 DVD, Blu-Ray release date revealed
If you head over to the official Amazon listing for the DVD set, you can see that the collection for the show is coming on April 10 for both platforms. You can of course pre-order the collection now in the event you want to get them as soon as they are available. These collections offer up an opportunity to re-watch the entirety of the third season whenever you want — but with the added benefit of some special features.
We know that there are some people out there who feel as though DVD collections have lost their value in the streaming era, but this is where some of the special features come more into play. If you can come up with cool behind-the-scenes featurettes and other goodies in that vein, we do still think that there’s a reasonably good chance you can convince people to buy. When it comes to Outlander season 3 in general, it’s not going to be all that hard to make that effort to get people interested. You’ve got thirteen epic episodes and while the full list of special features isn’t currently known, we do anticipate that there’s going to be some cool stuff.

By the time this season 3 DVD comes out, there’s a reasonably good chance that Outlander is going to be in the home stretch of season 4 filming. We anticipate that production will run until late spring / early summer, but they may be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel at around that point.
Unfortunately, there’s still nothing official on the show’s possible season 5 renewal, but we do think that you’ll get something by the time that season 4 wraps up — at latest. We understand the frustration around the wait — remember, we thought there would be a season 5 renewal by this point, too! The easy estimation here is that things are taking a little bit longer than expected because there are negotiations happening for two separate seasons at the same time. That stretches things out more.
Outlander season 4 will premiere on Starz later this year.
