Designated Survivor season 2 episode 11 spoilers: First news on ‘Grief’
For more in terms of how the Commander-in-Chief is faring, take a look at the Designated Survivor season 2 episode 11 synopsis below:
It’s been ten weeks since his wife, Alex, was killed in a car accident; and President Kirkman’s senior staff insist he seek professional help in dealing with his loss, forcing him to reluctantly see therapist Dr. Adam Louden (Timothy Busfield). Meanwhile, FBI Agent Hannah Wells and Aaron Shore travel to Cuba as part of a trade delegation, but the trip does not go according to plan. With lives in the balance, Kirkman is challenged with a decision that will test his role as commander in chief during this time of personal tragedy.
By the end of this episode it’s our hope that there will be a greater sense of understanding and peace in terms of how Kirkman is feeling — he recognizes most likely that there needs to be, given the sort of responsibility that he has to his country. He does not take said responsibility lightly, even though matters at present are difficult for him. It would probably be a little bit easier if he really had a large circle of close friends, but one of the difficulties that comes with being President is that there aren’t too many people out there who can properly relate to what you are going through. They may try but that is hardly the same.
