The Walking Dead season 8 episode 9: Andrew Lincoln, cast on story ahead
We’ll admit that there is a certain part of this video that feels a little bit like Groundhog Day. Most everyone out there is familiar with what the struggle ahead is going to look like — Alexandria, the Hilltop, and Alexandria are all going to continue to do everything that they can to unite with one common goal: They want to do just about everything that they can in order to ensure that they stay alive against Negan. We’ve been in the midst of the All Out War storyline for long enough now that we’ve got a pretty good sense of what some of the patterns are going to be there.
The Walking Dead season 8 episode 9 synopsis via AMC continues that line of thinking:
Rick faces new difficulties after a battle. Meanwhile, the fight continues in other communities as core members face hard decisions.
Here’s what surprises us slightly — Carl isn’t mentioned at all in the synopsis above, and in the video below he doesn’t come up until near the end. What in the world is AMC thinking here. Are they not emphasizing Carl’s death enough? We’re starting to wonder why they’re not making more of an effort to promote what could be one of their strongest episodes in the entire show’s history. While it may be a spoiler to some people who are a little bit behind on the story, let’s be real: If you still haven’t caught up on the first half of The Walking Dead season 8, why should AMC be held responsible for your own inability to stay up to date? This is what we want to see, and that’s what we are both excited about and dreading at the same time.
