Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 3 finale spoilers: An unexpected twist

While there may be many shows that are going off the air next week because of the Olympics, be aware that the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season 3 finale is going to air in its normal time! This has been an eventful season for Rebecca Bunch to say the least, and it’s all going to come to a close in a finale that may offer up some twists and turns we didn’t see coming.

When Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) decides to make amends for her past, she finds some unexpected challenges. At the same time, West Covina awaits an important new arrival. Vincent Rodriguez III, Gabrielle Ruiz, Donna Lynne Champlin, Scott Michael Foster, Pete Gardner, Vella Lovell and David Hull also star. Aline Brosh McKenna and Michael Hitchcock wrote the episode and Aline Brosh McKenna directed (#313). Original airdate 2/16/2018.

If you are hoping to get something in the way of substantial scoop on what lies ahead from the promo, you’re probably going to be disappointed. It doesn’t give away much, but we do think that it does a good job preparing you for whatever the sort of crazy/surprising twist is that you are going to get a chance to see.

This entire promo seems to exist for one purpose more so than any other: Trying to encourage you to check out the show live. If you do that and encourage others to do the same, there’s a reasonably good chance for a ratings bump entering the finale. While we know that The CW to date has been willing to keep Crazy Ex-Girlfriend around to date by virtue of its quality, we do worry that eventually it will have an expiration hope. Hopefully, if we ever come to that the network will just announce a final season in advance and give the series a chance to end on the best terms it possibly can. With this sort of twist coming up, we’re predicting in our mind some sort of cliffhanger.
