Should Jamie Dornan return to Once Upon a Time for one final appearance?
Back during the first season (or at least the first half of it), one of the most pivotal characters was Sheriff Graham, a close confidante of Emma’s as played by Jamie Dornan. Unfortunately, he met an untimely end at the hands of the Evil Queen, and for many years his death has served as one of the show’s biggest loose ends. Does Emma know the truth about what really happened to him? We’re still not altogether sure on that. It’s the sort of reveal that could cause some tension between the two characters should Emma ever turn up again, but at the same time we don’t think Emma would hold it against her too much for the act itself. That was during a very different time of her life! We do feel, though, that Emma would probably have a little bit more of a problem with Regina not telling her about this previously.
We’ve wanted to see Dornan back as Graham / his alter ego of the Huntsman for ages. He hasn’t been seen on the show since season 2! Unfortunately, there is a pretty clear reason why he hasn’t been back — he’s been rather busy becoming a movie star. Finding a way to get him back is borderline impossible given his schedule. Yet, we’d love just one final cameo during either the finale or some other episode close to it. It could be a flashback to the early days of the show, or maybe we meet the Wish-World version of Graham and he’s someone who actually gets a shot at a happy ending after the Storybrooke version died.

We think that the Once Upon a Time producers would have Graham back in a moment, though there are definitely still some questions surrounding how to make that happen in a way that would make sense for the story. You probably need to also have Jennifer Morrison back, and there’s also only so much real estate available. We feel like that’s one of the reasons why Graham’s death hasn’t been readdressed in recent years — newer fans of the show may not even know this character at all.
As someone who remembers still watching the pilot fondly many years ago, though, we’d like to see a little bit more of Graham in some shape or form. Fingers crossed that we get to see it.
