Supergirl season 3: How can Lena handle Reign reveal?

While it’s not 100% confirmed at present, it appears as though Supergirl season 3 is now officially set to push the needle forward on one of the biggest reveals of the entire year.

At the end of this past episode, we ended up seeing Lena start to put two and two together that she knew why Sam was missing for big chunks of time — she started to figure out that she had another identity. If there was ever a true test of Lena’s morality, this is it. She knows now that “Sam” is responsible for murdering people and causing the city great harm. If she wanted to be ruthless, she could immediately research a proper way in which to kill her. This would help to stop the carnage in National City, but in turn she’d also be killing one of her best friends. Lena doesn’t exactly want to see herself as a murderer, and as a result of that we have a hard time imagining that she would want to start wandering more down this path.

Yet, the irony that comes in doing this is that Lena, in turn, would probably be perceived as a hero by some others if she was to rid National City of someone so evil. It’s a trade-off, but not the sort she is comfortable with.

The Lena Luthor we know will approach this situation a little bit differently. She is probably going to figure out a way instead to keep this from happening. She is a very smart and resourceful person, but will she be able to get the best people involved in trying to help her. Also, what if she tells some people and they don’t believe her? We can easily imagine her going to Kara with this news and Kara not believing her, mostly because A) she likes Sam and B) there may not be enough evidence of it. Yet, the sooner that the team figures this out, the quicker that they can act in order to ensure that they turn the tide and stop Reign in her tracks.
