Interested in learning the Westworld season 2 premiere date on HBO? Thankfully, the network was kind enough to share that very news here on Super Bowl Sunday!
The drama series, which turned out to be an enormous smash when it first aired on the network, is going to be officially premiering on Sunday, April 22. There is going to be ten more episodes over the course of the second season, which is going to feature many returning characters but also a heck of a lot of mystery. We do know that this is one of the most-mysterious serious out there, and as a result of that we’re not altogether shocked that there wasn’t too much in the way of information disclosed tonight. That is something that may be shared a little bit down the line when there is a chance to release more in the wake of a proper trailer.
Will the second season live up to expectations? We feel like that is going to be the real discussion point as we endure the long wait for the next two and a half months or so. When season 1 premiered, there was excitement bus also some uncertainty after there was a hiatus in production — yet, it proved itself to very much be worth it. The ratings were big, and the positive reviews and attention that the series received did eventually justify what was a pretty high cost.
This April premiere window should be a great one for Westworld given the fact that there have been some rather-special shows to premiere in this spot over the years. Think for a minute about the likes of Game of Thrones, which aired the first of several seasons there, and then also this past year when The Leftovers came on in that timeslot.
