The bad news at the moment is clear — due mostly to the upcoming Winter Olympics, you’re going to have to wait until Friday, March 2 in order to see more of Taken season 2 on the air. That’s a long time, but we cannot exactly say that we’re all that shocked the wait is so long. After all, NBC is broadcasting the Games so they don’t have any room in their schedule until then. The only bummer is that we really aren’t all that far into Taken season 2 and we are not entirely sure that anyone has had the necessary time at the moment to get immersed into the series, the new cast working alongside Jennifer Beals and Clive Standen, or the greater story at large. Investment is key to a show like this so the producers are going to have to make up for lost time when the series returns.
The obvious good news is that when Taken does end up returning to the air, you are going to get a chance to see a whole string of new episodes without nearly as many breaks in the action. The series is going to have a chance to build up moment and action, and we hope that on the other side of that, we’re going to have an opportunity to see the viewership increase and the stakes raised to new heights.
As of right now, we would say that Taken season 2 is going to need some sort of ratings bump in order to ensure that it gets brought back for a second season. We’re just not sure that this is going to happen just yet. Whoever thought that Friday nights entering the season were going to be as competitive as they’ve been? It’s certainly far from the TV graveyard these days.
