Shameless season 8 finale: Who got arrested?

Shameless season 8 finale

If you were to ask many Shameless fans online, you would probably get a wide range of reactions about season 8. We know that there are some out there who feel like it was nice to see a little bit of personal growth for the Gallaghers this year. Yet, at the same time we also know that there were others who thought things moved a little bit too slow and for the first three-quarters of the season that there wasn’t all that much that happened.

Over the course of this episode there were many different things that we had a chance to see, whether it be Fiona take some of her power back in the midst of the lawsuit or plenty of wedding-themed chaos. Here is the good news for all fans of Carl afraid that he’d get roped into all of the craziness with Kassadi forever — he’s free! Well, he’s at least free from this situation. There are some other problems that could surface for him down the road … with the same going for everyone else.

For examine, is Frank going to really get away from the latest mess that he’s caused — especially since we’re talking about a guy who managed to hide in a port-a-potty at one point? Are things going to be better for Fiona now?

Of course, one of the biggest questions that we’ve got moving forward is the status of Ian, who may potentially be off his meds. The question was never really answered in the episode, but his ever-changing social status seems to be contributing to him going off the rails — and getting arrested at the end of the finale.

Ultimately, we do think that this was an exciting finale that sent Carl off to military school and had Lip trying to move forward and make some responsible decisions for a change. Is that going to be enough for some people? Maybe not, but Shameless does have to change and not every character can be a walking disaster at this point in the run.
