Best Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med ‘ships (January 2018)

One Chicago 'ships

Mrs. Carter: What are some of your favorite current ‘ships from Chicago Fire, Chicago PDand Chicago Med?

The NBC franchise is airing new episodes of all three shows this week, and we’ve seen over the past couple of years that many out there watch for the relationships as much as the drama. You root for people to get together, stay together, or find a way to get to the next step. We’ve already seen weddings, breakups, and reconciliations. Who knows what else the producers have in store for the years ahead?

Below, you can see CarterMatt’s picks for the ten best One Chicago ‘ships for January 2018 and at the bottom of the article, we want to know your favorites! Vote in the poll; we’ll announce Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Eastern who is your favorite ‘ship from these shows at present. (If you’re on mobile and can’t view the poll, be sure to click to view the non-AMP version of the page.)

Brettonio (Brett & Antonio, Chicago PD Chicago Fire– Brettonio are as hot and cold as they come. They’ll be together for a few episodes and then apart for the rest of the season. It’s hard to make this work when they are on separate shows, but the passion is obviously there whenever they are together.

Burzek (Burgess & Ruzek, Chicago PD– Are we closer to Burzek being a permanent thing again? After this past Chicago PD it at least feels like we’re finally closer to that happening than we’ve been in a long time.

Chexton (Ethan & April, Chicago Med– Ethan and April’s relationship came about quickly at the end of season 2, but they are clearly blossoming now. After all, they finally just told everyone at the hospital that they are together.

Dawsey (Dawson & Casey, Chicago Fire– They’re one of the OG One Chicago ‘ships for a reason. They love each other, they support each other, and their fiery personalities perfectly suit the show. They disagree, but that helps to make them normal.

Manstead (Manning & Halstead, Chicago Med– These two characters been dating officially since the premiere, and their relationship has been fun and easygoing. Will there be conflict along the way? Eventually you have to think so, but they’re still in the honeymoon phase right now.

Platt & Mouch, (Chicago Fire & Chicago PD) – Do they even have a ‘ship name? Plouch? Mlatt? It would be wrong to not include them, given that they are one of the few consistent cross-show romance success stories. Also, they’re great whenever they are together on-screen!

Rheese (Connor & Sarah, Chicago Med– This is a ‘ship that is super-popular on the internet, even thought it hasn’t manifested all that much into anything on the show. It’s still worth recognizing because there’s something about the characters’ dynamic that appeals to fans out there.

Stelleride (Stella & Severide, Chicago Fire– They’re fun together and they have a great friendship. It’s taken a while for the two to get to the point where we could see them together and happy again, but we’re there. Let’s see what that manifests into.

Upstead (Upton & Halstead, Chicago PD– This seems to be the direction that Chicago PD are taking these two characters. There’s not a ton of trust there just yet, but you can get the sense that the writers are trying to build something here that could last. First, Upton has to continue to help Jay recover from his downward spiral.

Upwater (Upton & Atwater, Chicago PD– Finally, we turn to the ‘ship that we continue to root for even if very few others out there that are — there’s very little evidence that this is ever going to happen but we’re still rooting for it anyway.
