Family Guy season 16 episode 12 return date hopes for episode #301
According to the Futon Critic, Family Guy season 16 episode 12 is going to air on Sunday, March 11, and the title for the installment is “Send in Stewie, Please.” There’s going to be a Brian – Stewie sequence of events like no other on the 300th episode, and it’s possible that episode #301 is some sort of follow-up to that. While Family Guy rarely has arcs that go from one week to the next, we’ve often learned over time that they are hardly opposed to the idea. If they’ve got some sort of fun storyline that they want to bring to the table, they are going to do it and not shy away from it. We’ve seen that with the Brian storyline in the past, though we’re well-aware that there weren’t all too many happy fans that came out of that risk. Temporarily killing off Brian was one of the most controversial things Family Guy has ever done — kind of a strange thing to think about.
As for why the show is going off the air for a long time, that’s something we’ve already referenced in another article suggesting when the end to the upcoming The Simpsons hiatus could be. There’s just so much in the way of content coming up on Sunday primetime the next couple of months that it’s pretty clear that Fox doesn’t want to mess with much of it. They will have some new programming on the air next week, but that will be the premiere of The Resident, their new medical drama starring Matt Czuchry, at the end of the NFC Championship Game. They’re looking to use that spot in order to launch a hit like they did with the long-awaited return of The X-Files two years ago.
