Arrow season 6 episode 10 trailer: The war against Cayden James
At the center of this trailer is Michael Emerson’s Cayden James, a brilliant hacker who has been established, by and large, as the Big Bad for the season at the moment. He’s clearly the most powerful in terms of his capabilities, coupled with his desires to basically destroy Star City. It’s felt over the past year/year-and-a-half that we’ve had villains with a more personal mission in taking down Oliver Queen / the Green Arrow. This is a little bit different in that Cayden seems to be coming more from the school of “destroy the city at all costs.” He’s going to pose problems for Team Arrow, largely because he’s got a team of his own. As the (somewhat-rushed) tease at the end of the winter finale revealed, he is working in tandem with a number of other people who are either pure evil or morally ambiguous — think here in terms of Ricardo Diaz, Black Siren, Anatoly, and others.
Unfortunately, there’s another problem here in that Team Arrow is hardly still the Team Arrow from the past couple of seasons. While those of you who are Original Team Arrow fans may love Oliver, Diggle, and Felicity working more on their own, we have to think that losing Wild Dog, Mr. Terrific, and Black Canary from the lineup hurts to a certain degree. They have to be a little sneakier now and can’t just go for some sort of full-on assault.

While CarterMatt has had some reservations about the season so far, (mostly in that so much of it has been scattershot and there haven’t been a whole lot of intimate episodes to date focusing on specific characters) the Arrow season 6 episode 10 trailer is exciting and it gives us a sense that in the new year everything may be starting to come together.
