First Bachelor Winter Games promo: Ashley Iaconetti cries (again)
ABC has just unveiled the first Bachelor Winter Games promo, and within it you’ve got an opportunity to see Ashley Iaconetti cry … again. There was a part of us that thought that maybe, all the time away from the franchise would be great for her in terms of not being in the same place that she was — heck, Jared Haibon is not even a part of this series!
Yet, here we are, and Ashley once more remains a fixture of a season, upset about someone putting her in the friend zone. While we do think that this is who she is, it’s also what The Bachelor franchise probably expects from her at this point. It’s not a scripted show but there are clearly some characters who they like to work into the story. After all, they do want to guarantee that they get some big reactions to whatever that they have planned.
Oh, and it does seem like they have a lot planned. There are only four episodes of this show, but within these four we imagine that producers are going to throw almost everything that they can against the wall. There are going to be some athletic competitions, and beyond that we’re also going to see some fairly-typical Bachelor dates. The big difference between this and some other seasons of the show is that it’s a winter theme. Therefore there are less reasons for people to be in swimsuits all of the time. (Then again, we hear that the Bachelor in Paradise conditions are often far from paradise — it can be really hot and miserable there during the summer.)

The one thing that we’re feeling fairly confident about at the moment is that this is going to be a complete and utter trainwreck. You’re going to have a chance to see really weird, awkward dates between people who barely know each other from all over the world, and there’s no guarantee that everyone on this show even knows how to speak English. We’ve also got roughly eight hours in order to show a ton of cast members. Clearly, there are some people who are going to be only briefly mentioned.
