NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 13 preview: Pride’s past and Lasalle’s history
Will “Ties That Bind” prove to be a special hour when it comes to exploring Pride’s past, and will it actually force Lasalle into a big decision? The NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 13 synopsis has some insight:
“Ties That Bind” – A petty officer’s murder leads the team to a family-owned night club where Pride’s mother used to perform weekly. Also, Lasalle must urgently return home to Alabama after receiving an unexpected call from his family, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Jan. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
We reported previously that this episode was going to be an important one for Lasalle, really to the point where we started to wonder whether or not he could end u[p leaving the team. While we don’t necessarily think that it will happen, his father can be convincing and this could be an hour designed for the sole purpose of making us sweat a little bit. After all, isn’t this a show that thrives on cultivating some great dramatic tension?

As for Pride, we’re obviously going to be thrilled with any opportunity to explore his past and see different dimensions to his character. It’s valuable if we are meant to understand him a little bit more, both in terms of why he is the way that he is now and also why he cares so much about music. It’s pretty obvious that this stems all the way back to his childhood. It’s not often that we have the sort of space to get into characters’ past on the show; while there may be 24 episodes a season, that does not necessarily mean that there are opportunities to dive into much in those beyond the customary story of the week. NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 13 is a great opportunity; here’s to hoping that “Ties That Bind” is one of our favorites by the time we make it to the end of the season.

I think this will be the heart wrenching episode of the season. The way Daddy Lasalle got up and left we knew this story was not over. I hope it’s not anything life threatening or an illness of his dad. But what if it’s his mom? And dad wants him to take over the family business while he cares for his mother. I’m guessing Rose Lasalle will be his mom. So I get the feeling it’s bad news for his dad. I hope he decides what is best for him. Makes me wonder what this will do with the dynamic of the team. Hopefully this gets city mouse attitude back in check. As it sucks lately.

I don’t think she will be involved in this so it won’t change anything for her character. I m pretty sure we will have a parallel / focus with pride and lasalle with some gregorio in the mix. This is the way I feel….
