SEAL Team episode 11 preview: Is this Jason’s most dangerous mission yet?

SEAL Team premiere ratings

Next week, CBS will unleash SEAL Team episode 11 — an installment that will hopefully be very entertaining, even if it does prove itself to be understandably different from what came on the air the week before. We’re losing the real-time structure that came with episode 10, but in the place of that we are getting what may very well be one of the most dangerous missions that we’ve seen Jason up against since the start of the series. He and his team have to deal with something that could kill not only them, but also countless lives all around them. We’re speaking here about nuclear weapons, which will be the focal point for this episode entitled “Containment.”

CarterMatt has for you the full SEAL Team episode 11 synopsis below, including a personal storyline to go along with some of the danger that is coming for Jason and Alana:

“Containment” – Jason and the SEAL team are sent to intercept the sale of nuclear weapons, but the mission goes sideways when they must make the treacherous journey back to base with nukes that have unsecured fuel rods. Also, Ray is sidelined with a shoulder injury, and Jason and Alana are shocked by their kids’ reactions when the topic of their reunion is brought up.

The important thing for Jason is finding a way to make it back to Alana and the kids given what he’s going to have to go through here. We know that we’ve said this before when previewing this episode, but it’s hard to imagine that CBS is going to kill off David Boreanaz’s character plus the remainder of the cast in a nuclear blast. The challenge for the writing team is therefore not so much about whether or not they survive, but more so how they survive — and also whether or not there are any long-lasting consequences that go along with it. We know that these are all people who have seen some really dangerous things, and as a result of that not all of them may flash through their mind every second of the day. Still, our assumption remains that some incidents are so much worse than others and stick with a person.
