Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 12 preview: Floriana Lima and journeys through Riggs’ past

Are you ready to see Lethal Weapon season 2 episode 12? This installment of the show will be airing on Fox come Tuesday, January 9, and all early inclinations suggest that we’re going to get an emotional story for Riggs. We will get a chance to see him visit his father-in-law behind bars and learn a little bit more about someone who is no longer walking on this earth.

This is where Floriana Lima of Supergirl fame enters the picture. After playing Maggie Sawyer over on the CW since the start of the fall of 2016, Lima will now be appearing on Lethal Weapon as a woman who may as well be for this show what Jack is for This Is Us. Even though her character on Lethal Weapon is apparently dead, she still has a role to play.

RIGGS TAKES A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE ON AN ALL-NEW “LETHAL WEAPON” TUESDAY, JANUARY 9, ON FOX

When Riggs visits his father-in-law in prison (guest star Tony Plana), a walk down memory lane reveals an old secret about his deceased wife (guest star Floriana Lima). Meanwhile Murtaugh tries to impress Captain Avery, and, united by the death of a mutual friend, Trish and Leo Getz (guest star Thomas Lennon) try and solve a murder on their own.

The stuff that is coming for Murtaugh in this episode sounds entertaining in its own right, mostly because any opportunity we can get to see one character try to impress another is going to be entertaining. It’s, by and large, a fool’s errand — especially when you are talking about Captain Avery.

Finally, isn’t it worth celebrating that we will have another chance to see Leo Getz on the series? Thomas Lennon is amazing, and this marks the second time in which we’ve gotten to see him through season 2. We knew before the season that he had signed on to do a few separate appearances.
