The Flash star Grant Gustin not married to LA Thoma, despite reports contrary

Mrs. Carter: Is Grant Gustin married to LA Thoma?

If you’ve been reading us for some time now, you already know the answer to that question! The plan is still for the couple to exchange their vows and become husband and wife, but it hasn’t exactly happened just yet. The Flash star got engaged to his longtime girlfriend last year — while Gustin tends to be a bit more publicity-shy than some of the other actors within the Arrow superhero universe on The CW, he has shared a few photos throughout the engagement.

As for why there is talk suggesting that the actor and Thoma are already married, some of that seems to be stemming from a local article where the two parties were staying over the holidays in Malaysia. The two had a traditional ceremony in the country to honor her ancestry, there is a difference between that and a full-on wedding ceremony. The plan for that is for it to happen at some point in the new year. Gustin will be very busy getting back to work soon on The Flash, which still has many new episodes to film between now and the end of production in the spring. There’s some irony to the timing of the wedding, given that on the show Gustin’s character of Barry Allen recently married his own longtime love in Iris West. Good news for Gustin in real life — at no point in his trip to Malaysia did he get arrested after being falsely accused of murder like on the show!

The Flash season 4 will return on January 16 with “The Trial of Barry Allen.” You can read more on what is coming up there over here.

Happy Holidays from Malaysia! I’ve been mostly off social media because the Majalap family is non-stop and we’ve been running around and partying and eating and drinking since we got here. I did want to clear something up before the internet ran with it. It was incorrectly reported, without our permission that LA and I had a private wedding while we were here, but that’s not quite the truth. While we did have a beautiful, symbolic Kadazan ceremony to honor LA’s ancestors, we still won’t tie the knot until next year. (Also I’m still 27 for another few weeks.. the article got a couple things wrong) We’ve had a great time while we were in Sabah. LA’s GIGANTIC family is awesome. We got to hang out with Masidi Manjun, the Minister of Tourism, and had an incredible stay at Gaya Island Resort our first few days. Many pictures to come once we’re back in North America.
