New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2018: Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas, more to perform

New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018

New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is now officially right around the corner, and given that this is the biggest broadcast on the night by a pretty wide margin, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that the Ryan Seacrest hosted show is drawing some big names as performers.

For the New York portion of the show you’ve likely already heard that Mariah Carey is going to return, hopefully to redeem herself following a rather chaotic performance on the show last year. That’s going to be the main event, and it’s still a brilliant stroke of genius for both Mariah and ABC to orchestrate this. It benefits both of them to have her back so we can see if she can deliver the performance we expected last year.

Joining Carey, per ABC, in New York City will be Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland. We do wonder if things are reasonably subject to change at the moment, given that this is currently slated to be one of the coldest New Year’s Eves in recent memory. Temperatures could be anywhere from 10 to 16 degrees Fahrenheit by the time the sun goes down; performing may be the only thing keeping some of these artists warm.

There will be, as per usual, another part of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve that takes place from the West Coast featuring a wide array of pre-taped performances. As of right now the roster of people set to be over there include the likes of Kane Brown, BTS, Kelly Clarkson, Fitz and The Tantrums, Khalid, Khalid with Marshmello, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Alessia Cara and Zedd, G-Eazy and Halsey, Bebe Rexha featuring Florida Georgia Line, Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso featuring Florida Georgia Line and Watt. It’s a pretty robust roster, and you’ll likely receive various cutaways to some of these performances as the night progresses.

What do you think about the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2018 lineup of performers? Be sure to share right now in the comments below! We’ll of course be back early in the day on Sunday for more information regarding when to watch the show … and the latest on the weather.
