Real Housewives of Beverly Hills preview: Erika Girardi’s book preparation turns emotional

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 8

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is airing another new episode on Tuesday night; who doesn’t want to kick off the new year with a little bit of drama featuring some of your favorite ladies? There will be some fun moments, but also a number of sad ones. A good example of the latter may come courtesy of Erika Girardi’s book preparation. She’s in the process of writing a memoir, and while that can be great and very therapeutic there are also many occasions in which doing this can result in some old wounds being reopened.

While Erika certainly has a fun side — we definitely see this anytime that she becomes Erika Jayne — this could be a situation in which we see more of her thoughtful, emotional side. You get a sense of that in the synopsis for this episode that CarterMatt has for you below:

As she writes her memoir, Erika is forced to revisit her past and gets emotional about her father. Lisa Vanderpump helps PK throw a lavish birthday dinner for Dorit—and the unlikeliest of guests gives a speech. Teddi starts to question Dorit’s character when Dorit speaks badly about Lisa Rinna. Meanwhile, Kyle vacations with her family in Croatia.

Meanwhile, the promo for this upcoming episode also features a little bit of Erika speaking about her father; you can tell just how much that relationship meant to her, and it will be rather interesting to watch her speak about what she feels was a lack of acknowledgment. Of course, there will also be a party — mostly because every episode of this show has to have some sort of party — and while there, you are going to end up hearing Dorit’s son say a few surprising things. This episode appears like it’s going to be fun, but also plant the seeds for some drama down the road regarding Dorit. Kyle should probably be happy that she’s far away from much of what’s coming.

What do you anticipate coming up for Erika on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Does hearing about the process of her memoir have you more interested in reading it? Be sure to share in the attached comments below!
