Golden Globes 2018 presenters: Kerry Washington, Darren Criss, Amy Poehler, and more
We like to focus on some of the TV-focused personalities leading into this particular awards show — after all, that is the focus of our beat here at the site! We’re also pleased to report that there are plenty of notable names in the mix here. With American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace coming in the near future, you really should not be altogether surprised by the fact that Edgar Ramirez, Penelope Cruz, and Darren Criss are all going to be presenting. After all, they are all stars of the upcoming season! They are going to be joined by The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson, Parks and Recreation alum Amy Poehler, Divorce star Sarah Jessica Parker, A Series of Unfortunate Events star Neil Patrick Harris, TV icon Carol Burnett, and Scandal star Kerry Washington. (These names were released per The Hollywood Reporter.)
The Golden Globes are airing on NBC come Sunday, January 7 and are being hosted by none other than Late Night host Seth Meyers. There are all sorts of signs that this could be a fun awards show this year — there are some good nominees (though there are certainly some snubs), and in general we like that the tone of this show is a little bit lighter and more entertaining that the Oscars. That show can often have a tendency to get a little bit weighty.
Will there be a big moment or two for some of these presenters? We certainly hope so! Just remember that this is a fairly incomplete list of people who are taking part in the ceremony this year. There will be more names added to the list over time, so be sure to check back soon.
