Chicago Fire season 6 spoilers: Major Crimes actor Daniel di Tomasso to guest

Chicago Fire

Following his role as Wes Nolan on TNT’s Major Crimes, be prepared to see Daniel di Tomasso turning up over on Chicago Fire season 6.

NBC has confirmed that Daniel, whose credits also include Timeless and Witches of East End, is going to appear in the upcoming January 18 episode of the show as Zach, a Hazmat officer. He will find himself at the center of a story where multiple characters vie for his attention. He should be at the center of a fairly fun storyline, and we’re excited to get him in what is the fun family atmosphere of Firehouse 51. It’s a big contrast to some of the super-serious stuff going on with Major Crimes in its final season.

For those wondering, this January 18 episode of Chicago Fire is also going to feature more drama for Casey and Dawson as Severide finds himself in a precarious position in regards to a conflict that the two parties are having. This is an issue that is seemingly born out of Severide taking Dawson’s side in the midst of a delicate situation and Casey being less than pleased about it. These three have some issues to work out, and this is not the first time over the course of season 6 where there has been some conflict between Jesse Spencer and Taylor Kinney’s characters. If you may recall, the two parties were reasonably quick to hash through some issues following Casey’s promotion to Captain. While the two do care about each other and have a great friendship, there is some obvious conflict that permeates their relationship and it’s been there from the start of the series.

Chicago Fire season 6 returns to the air on Thursday, January 4. While you await the return of the series, be sure to check back to CarterMatt on January 2 for a full interview with showrunner Derek Haas.
