Are ready for the Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebration 2017 show? In what has become an annual tradition, families around the country turn on the TV and enjoy a little holiday magic from Mickey Mouse’s house on Christmas Morning! This year the ABC special will have viewers catching a glimpse of both Disneyland and Disney World.
Three hosts offer a delightful look at the holiday season. Julianne Hough and Nick Lachey share the Disney magic from Walt Disney World while Jesse Palmer is at Disneyland. The lineup of guests includes Fifth Harmony, 98 Degrees and even Ciara. Frankly, the stars performing holiday music is delightful, but the reason people tune in on Christmas morning is to see the biggest stars on stage with these characters live at the Disney Resorts.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and all their pals are the true celebrities seen on Christmas morning. Dancing and sharing their holiday joy, the characters are delightfully enthusiastic about the holidays. It’s delightful to everyone who watches as you don’t need to be a child to enjoy these Disney pals.
Filmed earlier in the month, both parks have beautiful skies with colors bouncing off the castles showcasing lights and fireworks. Those lucky folks in the crowds got the chance to enjoy the filming in the parks, but they had to offer up their holiday charm a little bit earlier in the year. Pretending that it’s Christmas may not be too bad, all things considered!
A couple years ago I actually had the chance to enjoy a taping at the Disneyland Resort. Besides all the Christmas cheer, all I remember is how hot it was to wear those Santa hats. Yep, Disney figures out all the details, down to the weather. What I didn’t know is to make a perfect television show it needs to be a little warmer than your typical December day!
The joy of this television special is one of visual delight. Seeing the decorations on Main Street U.S.A. and watching the guests ears light up with the beats is something quite special. Add all the holiday sparkle and shine to find yourself reminiscing on a time you once were there (and really want to go again.)
