Taken season 2 promo gives you all sorts of Clive Standen intensity

The latest Taken season 2 promo is coming your way courtesy of NBC and there’s a pretty clear takeaway from it: Bryan Mills is going to do everything that he can to ensure that justice is served. He’s going to start off this season in a Mexican prison, but on the other side of that could be engaged in an epic, dramatic journey to find his way home all the while honing in more on his particular set of skills along the way.

This new promo is really exciting in that it helps to reset the series from where it was at the end of season 1, while reminding you both of Bryan’s struggles and also one of his greatest gifts: His ability to help others, no matter the odds. This is a man who’s shown time and time again that he will put his life on the line to ensure the safety of others and we’re sure that is going to remain a theme throughout what is coming up.

For Taken season 2, one of the biggest struggles that we’re going to see comes from a network side. After Taken season 1 aired on NBC Monday nights, the network is changing things up and the show is going to be returning coming up on Fridays. That is where new installments will air the rest for the season and we’re very interested to learn where the story overall is going to take us — there are many new cast members joining Clive Standen and Jennifer Beals, and the biggest competition is probably going to be Hawaii Five-0 over at CBS. That’s another action-heavy series based on a familiar property, and it is pretty dominant in its time slot. It’s going to be a hard show to be able to dethrone, but Taken has a lot going for it and clearly the Friday night audience wants programming that is high energy like this.

Taken returns to NBC on Friday, January 12 — we imagine we’ll have more to share leading up to this date, so stay tuned!
