Mom season 5 episode 9 return date for Anna Faris, cast

Want to know what the Mom season 5 episode 9 return date is going to be coming out of Thursday night’s winter finale? Rest assured that we’ve got that information for you now!

After a winter hiatus (that is going to run for a number of weeks) you’re going to get a chance to see this series return to CBS with all-new episodes starting on Thursday, January 4. That’s not too long of a wait at all, all things considered, and is pretty indicative of the fact that this is a show that started late in the fall and can’t afford to take too many breaks. There are a lot of episodes that Mom season 5 needs to run through before it gets around to the end of the season. That’s why you’re getting a new episode of the show tonight, even though there is no new The Big Bang Theory anchoring things off.

Below, CarterMatt has for you the full Mom season 5 episode 9 synopsis below:

“Teenage Vampires and a White Russian” – Bonnie is upset when her brother, Ray (Leonard Roberts) is arrested and calls Adam instead of her to bail him out. Also, Christy gets fired from her job at the restaurant, on MOM, Thursday, Jan. 4 (9:01-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

We’re always going to be happy to get more Leonard Roberts on this show — he’s been great on Major Crimes as of late and it’s nice to see him shift over to something more comedic. Compared to what happened on this past Major Crimes episode we especially need some sort of way to heal our broken heart. Mom is a good show for that.

So how is Mom doing as we look forward to the end of the season? Is there a reason for some optimism and another season coming up in the future? At the moment we’d bank for at least one more — contractually, that makes sense for a number of the cast members, and to go along with that the ratings remain pretty solid. It’s actually averaging a 1.5 in the 18-49 demographic, which is a slight increase versus season 4. Having a great lead-in like Young Sheldon helps with that. It retains more of the Big Bang Theory audience than some other shows have in the past and that trickles down to Mom.
