Superior Donuts season 2 episode 9 return date for CBS series
Per the network, the show starring Jermaine Fowler and Judd Hirsch is going to be back on Monday, January at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Like we said recently when sharing the Scorpion return date, CBS is opting to not air any new programming on the first two Mondays of the new year. Clearly they are trying to avoid counter-programming in the form of college football and we more than understand that. Sometimes, the cautious approach is the best approach and we absolutely believe that it is here. Superior Donuts season 2 fared decently enough to get a full-season pickup, but it’s probably still too early to feel confident in its long-term status beyond that.

“Sofia’s Choice” – An admission from Franco and Sofia on the eve of her first big catering gig shocks Arthur and the gang. Also, Randy and Tush take temp jobs as security guards, leading to an unexpected revelation about Fawz, on SUPERIOR DONUTS, Monday, Jan. 15 (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.
This show will likely continue to bring some of its old-school charm, but somewhere in the midst of that also have a chance to tell some stories that are somewhat progressive and have a different style to them than the vast majority of CBS shows that are out there. We like that Superior Donuts isn’t just another family comedy with familiar characters and it’s trying to do something different. It’s probably filling a tangential void left by 2 Broke Girls but has a lot of distinct flavor in its own right.
Expect a few more new Superior Donuts episodes coming throughout the month of January before the show takes off in order to begin a hiatus for the Winter Olympics. Once we get a little bit later in the season we’ll start to have some more insight.
