Basically, the appeal of this episode comes via pitting Kevin James and Leah Remini against each other. It’s hardly the most innovative idea in the world — yet, it’s firmly in the vein of what you can expect from this show and probably also what you want.
What’s the future beyond Kevin Can Wait season 2 episode 13?
At the moment, there’s no reason to worry about whether or not there will be a season 3. So far Kevin Can Wait is averaging in total a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic — while it’s down more than 15% from the season 1 average it’s still a decent number and CBS’ top-rated regularly-scheduled Monday comedy. It’s not the sort of show that is ever going to generate huge publicity for itself (unless there’s another Erinn Hayes situation that plays out), but we do think it could end up having a run of around six seasons similar to what 2 Broke Girls did in the past.
