Katherine Langford teases 13 Reasons Why season 2 story

13 Reasons why season 2Katherine Langford was recently nominated for a Golden Globe, and to go along with that her work on 13 Reasons Why season 2 just wrapped. This is a batch of episodes coming up that will be interesting for many different reasons — with the involvement of Hannah being a big part of that. After all, the character’s death in season 1 was a huge part of that story and going into season 2 it’s fair to question and ponder just how much you’re going to see the character involved.

While series star Katherine Langford is doing her part to (mostly) stay coy on that subject, she did pass along the following message to Entertainment Weekly:

“This season has been really interesting for a lot of reasons … It’s a different story than season 1 and I think that’s a good thing. This season we get to explore a lot more of the other characters and their journeys, which I’m excited about. As sad as it is, there is life after Hannah, and this season we get to see the effects it had on the people around her a lot more.”

Langford also noted that a big part of the second season is about letting Hannah go, and that is interesting enough to make us wonder if we’re getting set to move on from that character and focus on other parts of this show’s world. If the series goes on for many more seasons it does feel inevitable that would evolve in some different directions — though to be clear, there was a time in which we wondered as to whether or not we were going to get a 13 Reasons Why season 2 in the first place. The first season was based by and large on source material that was wrapped up. There was not necessarily a need for there to be more of this story but the series is still going to do its part to give us a little more of that.

There is no premiere date as of yet for 13 Reasons Why season 2 but once we know more, of course we’ll be willing to share here at CarterMatt.
