This series is an ambitious anthology project coming your way via AMC, and it’s certainly fair to say that the cast here is somewhat impressive. Beyond just Menzies, who was absolutely outstanding as Black Jack / Frank Randall, you’ve also got Mad Men alum Jared Harris and Ciaran Hinds, best known for his work on Rome and Game of Thrones. Basically, you’ve got three powerful actors helping to lead the way for a ten-episode drama series premiering on Monday, March 26. This is a show worth checking out if you love historical drama mixed with a little bit of horror. The title here is probably appropriate for what you’re going to feel like while watching some of the episodes.
For a little more insight into what this story will be, take a look at the official logline that CarterMatt has for you below:
The crew of a Royal Naval expedition searching for the Arctic’s treacherous Northwest Passage discovers instead a monstrous predator.
The video we have for you below is all sorts of creepy, but to go along with that it is also visually stunning. Ironically we just watched a story about ships at sea on Outlander and now we’re getting it here via AMC — albeit in a very different setting. We wanted Menzies to land another prominent TV gig not long after wrapping his story as Frank and we’re very keen that this is it — AMC is a great network that supports its series and they do historical drama like no one else. The fact that this has a horror twist is enough to keep things fresh and exciting.
It’s a little difficult to say too much more about The Terror given that the premier doesn’t reveal too much, but it’s definitely a show we’ll be keeping on our radar moving into 2018. If you’re a fan of either the concept or the cast, we recommend that you do the same exact thing.
