Are Good Behavior season 3 hopes higher because of recent ratings?

As we approach this weekend, there’s one big question that will be on our mind: What are the odds of a Good Behavior season 3? The season 2 finale is going to be coming on TNT Sunday night and the moment that ends, there will likely be some clamoring as to whether or not the end is near for the Michelle Dockery series.

While the ball is ultimately going to be in the court of the network, we can tell you this: The series is at least heading towards the finale on a high note.

The ratings are in for Sunday night’s penultimate episode of the series, one that you can read a full review for here. What we have to report on here is certainly more than positive. With almost 680,000 viewers checking out the episode, this marked the best Good Behavior live viewer total since the season premiere. Not only that, but it tied the 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic set by the first episode. Isn’t that worthy of some celebration? We wish that it also led to a season 3 renewal announcement … but that hasn’t happened just yet.

The ball here is ultimately in the court of TNT to figure out what they want to do with this show. The good news at the moment is that Good Behavior is a beloved show with clearly a loyal fanbase — its ratings have not fluctuated all that much over the course of the season, and many of these viewers would likely stick around for another season. The question is whether or not the series can find a way to attract some new viewers, whether it be via streaming, DVR viewership, or some other promotional campaign. There are obviously way more people watching the show than these live+same-day numbers indicate. Good Behavior is airing in a rough timeslot, mostly because A) viewers are trying to get some sleep for the work week and B) it’s up against the end of Sunday Night Football on NBC.

Rest assured, we’ll do everything that we can to champion a Good Behavior renewal in the weeks to come.
