Top Chef: Colorado episode 2 preview: The fear of a lamb letdown
For a little more insight, CarterMatt has for you the Top Chef: Colorado episode 2 synopsis:
In one of Top Chef’s signature Quickfires, the chefs battle against each other in a fierce Mise En Place relay. Then, acclaimed local Chef Alex Seidel invites the group to his farm to learn about his take on farm-to-table cuisine. There, they are tasked with creating a progressive meal incorporating a mystery ingredient from the farm into each dish. In this first team challenge, the sparks fly as the chefs get to know each other.
Want to get a little more specific? Then take a look at the sneak peek below where the Green Team works together — and struggles — to make the perfect lambo dish. Joe Sasto III isn’t exactly all that pleased with the butchering that is being done on the bones, and apparently Tom Colicchio isn’t all that excited about the way Tu David Phu is tying up the lamb at the end. He ends up showing him, and that frustrates Joe and his magical mustache even more.
Typically on Top Chef the winner of the first cliffhanger is someone you can look at as a potential favorite for many weeks to come. However, Tu’s had a tough time ever since getting that first victory and immunity. He probably would’ve been in danger in the first elimination challenge were it not for that, and here he could be much more vulnerable depending on what happened in the Quickfire.
It wouldn’t be Top Chef without a little conflict and this is precisely what we’re starting to get here. All of these chefs are accomplished professionals, and this is different from your standard competition given that they all have so much on the line.
