Celebrate Amy’s birthday (and Halley’s) on The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 11

Amy’s birthday is a focal point on The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 11 — and many fans of the show know that’s a big deal. It’s that one time of the year Sheldon and Amy are together in a sexual way, and it does also happen in some sort of manner that is weird and over-the-top — basically, it happens in a way that is perfect for Sheldon and Amy but nobody else would possibly understand (which is how we think many couples sex lives play out to some degree).

“The Celebration Reverberation” – Sheldon and Wolowitz plan birthday celebrations for Amy and Halley, respectively. Also, Leonard receives a Christmas letter from his brother that causes him to spiral out about his own lack of accomplishments, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Dec. 14 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Clearly, there are a number of different things on this The Big Bang Theory episode to be excited about, and beyond the birthdays there’s always something about a neurotic Leonard tailspin that is entertaining. The truth of the matter is that he’s a much better person and accomplished scientist than he ever gives himself credit for. The problem is that, (whether consciously or unconsciously) he has a nasty habit of surrounding himself with people who make him feel like he’s somehow less than. It happened growing up with his mother Beverly, and since that time it’s happened living with Sheldon and being around some of his other friends. He hasn’t been to space like Howard and even his wife in Penny is now more successful than him in some ways. There are some silver linings in terms of his job and his capabilities, but he’s not always able to see them. Hopefully, this is a situation that does change for him. It’s the character growth we want to see for him before the series comes to an end.
