Chicago PD season 5 episode 10 return date on NBC

Chicago Pd season 5 teaser

Want to know the Chicago PD season 5 episode 10 return date? Given how the NBC show tied things up tonight we imagine that you’re eager for it to return to know how the Voight/Ruzek story plays out.

Unfortunately, Wednesday’s episode “Monster” (read more about it by visiting the review here) was the last one of the year. Chicago PD is entering a hiatus, and doing so with questions regarding whether or not Adam Ruzek is going to be killed by Voight. While we’re optimistic that he will make it through, we’re going to have to wait until Wednesday, January 3 in order to see it.

The Chicago PD season 5 episode 10 return date was specifically designed so that NBC could air roughly five or six new episodes of the series before getting around to the Winter Olympics, which begin in early February. This show, like many others, is going to be in hiatus during those weeks, and will return more than likely either at the end of the month or in March. We don’t want to make too much of the Olympics hiatus just because Chicago PD has been on some long winter / spring hiatuses before, just in different parts of the year.

When the series does return we presume that one of the main priorities is going to be resolving the story with Ruzek, and then from there seeing if there is a way for Voight to get Denny Woods off of his back. Woods is a cop who believes he is doing the right thing trying to turn Intelligence around — and in many ways he is doing the right thing given that Voight is has been a vigilante at times who has deliberately killed people on the job. Voight also happens to be the lead of the show and Woods is one of the closest things Chicago PD has had to a principal adversary, someone with a great deal of power and influence. He not only has the ability to take someone like Voight down, but he has the resources to get to the right people and do what he can in order to make it happen. Just because he failed in getting Ruzek to turn, does that mean he is going to stop? We have a hard time thinking that he will.
